Scott Martin is a South African born photographer and filmmaker based in the U.S., with a focus on water, wilderness, and human-powered adventure. His work blends documentary style storytelling with a strong sense of place, capturing not just the action but the quieter moments in between. Raised near the ocean and shaped by river gorges, surf breaks, and big skies, Scott draws on a deep connection to the outdoors in every project he takes on.
He’s collaborated with outdoor brands, tourism boards, and community organizations across the U.S. and Southern Africa, creating stills and motion that feel lived-in and real. Whether working on a surf shoot, a mountain bike story, or a fly fishing campaign, Scott brings a mix of patience, curiosity, and grit to the field and a clean, natural aesthetic to the final product.
Currently based in the U.S., Scott returns often to Southern Africa, continuing to build work that bridges continents, cultures, and the places that make us feel alive.
